1. The benefits that arise from our aims are several:

(a) helping to reduce global warming;

(b) helping rural people in the developing world to gain access to renewable      technologies, which will enable them to use local resources to provide local      sources of energy, which will in turn improve their quality of life;

(c) providing ways in which rural people in the developing world may earn extra      income through renewable energy projects;

(d) increasing the use of sustainable agricultural practices using local resources to      generate fertilizer to increase crop yields, to process crops and to reduce      losses during crop storage;

(e) improving water management practices that allow water to be pumped and      used more effectively for domestic and agricultural purposes; and

(f) improving and encouraging rural development in poorer sections of the     community in different countries around the world, enabling greater self-     sufficiency through the use of local resources.
